    Split Database

Now that I have split my database how do I create a button or something for the end user to click on to bring up the Link Manager to allow them to link to the back end file ?

    Thanks

the links should already be set up when you deploy the front end to someone.

usually, if I'm right here, the B/E is already stored on the server or shared drive/folder and front ends are deployed to users with the links already in place.

either that, or the deployment is made with a packaging wizard and the destination folders are spec'd when the package is put together by the developer.

could you do one of those instead??

Thanks - But what I have found when I create this at home then take it to work the link to the back end doesn't have the same name or location and that is when thing go wrong. On a previous program I created a button in the menu ribbon which opened the Link Manager. For some reason I can't seem to figure out how I added the Link Manager to my custom tool bar...
