    Question Form-Query Variable line Headers

Thanks in advance for any help given,
What I am trying to do is this, I want a form that upon update of a field will go out to the source table and update a variable amount text boxes for each value that falls under the variable field.

In others, the user selects 'Option A', then the form might have 5 different column names. Text1, Text2, etc.
the user selects 'Option B', then the form could only have 4 column names.
These could be the same under each option or completely different.

Any ideas would be very appreciated...

Column (Field) Names exist in a table as a fundamental storage element. It is not intended to change. So you don't want to go in that direction. This isn't really an Access issue per se but more of a database fundamental overall.

In forms (which are just display mechanisms for humans); fields inherit the field name as a label - merely as a design convenience. One can change that label caption easily manually or dynamically with code.

Whether there is 4 or 5 or whatever quantity of fields/columns displaying in the form will depend on the record source as to what data is available, along with management of visibility of fields when there is - or is not - data.

    Hope this helps.

    Question

Ok I think I confused you and myself. I am not trying to rename anything.
Let me restate the issue as thus,
I want the form to update the information contained in series of text boxes with a list from the source table. Such as

Option A (chosen from drop down list)
    Textbox A = "Item1" Textbox B = "Item2"

Option B (chosen from drop down list)
    Textbox A = "Item1" TextBox B = "Item3"

    Sorry for any confusion.....
