Importing data from Excel 2016 - Some data is missing after the import

Hi all!



I'm having a problem importing an Excel spreadsheet into Access 2016.

The table in Access has been defined. There are two fields defined as Long Text.

All columns in the spreadsheet are defined as Text. The text in some cells is around 1,000 characters which is why I defined the two fields in Access to be Long Text.

When I import the data from the spreadsheet into the table some of the text is missing in the two fields that are defined as Long Text.

What did I do wrong?

Try to put in the first row of the Excel file more than 255 characters in the two fields defined as long text and see what happens when you import. You can also try to do that and link the spreadsheet instead of importing it then set up an append query to load it into your Access table.
