Fields duplicating in subforms of a form

I have a form which has 3 tabs or subforms. When I added new fields on the first tab it is showing on all 3 tabs. I have checked other fields on the same form which are not duplicating but they are identical. I am missing something. Thank you in advance for any help.

(This is for A2010) This may be because those fields/controls are not really on the tabs like you think they care. This can happen if you create a control outside the tab area, and then drag it onto the tab where you want it. You haven't really put it on the tab - you have only moved it to an area over the tabs, but it's still on the main area of the form, so it shows on all the tabs.

To put a control on a tab, first select the tab, then create the control on the tab itself.

That makes total sense, but what I did was copy and paste existing fields already there and change the control source too match where the data should be. Thank you for answer though.

John_G you were correct, I had copied it but it went to a different location - not the actual "tab" I thought it was going on. Thanks!!!
