Specific Row not hiding in Print Preview

I have a report based on a query that looks perfect in Report View and Layout View but not in Print Preview. Most rows are correctly hiding if they are empty except for one area. I have all fields set to "can shrink", the data in the table for the offending row(s) is empty, and while the fields are touching each other none appear to be overlapping. I can't figure out why some rows are hiding correctly and others are not in Print Preview mode.

In the attachment I have included some screen shots. The first two show the clean description in Report View with the corresponding Print Preview showing the offending blank row. The second two are samples of other descriptions in Print Preview.

I have searched the forum but can't find a good solution. Can anyone assist?

    Thanks,

    Cori

Would have to review the report structure. If you want to provide file, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

    June7,

I was able to answer my own question, it appeared that there was in fact an overlapping control but it had been very difficult to see. I do have another question though.

I made a tweak to a field and therefore I no longer needed to concatenate a column in a query but now my report no longer works. I deleted the text box and created a combo box instead on the report but I can't get Print Preview to function properly now. If I try to open the report directly from the navigation pane I can see the mouse icon change to the circle but nothing opens. I can open the report in Design View but when I right-click on its tab in the Document Tabs bar to switch to Print Preview it disappears completely from the Documents Tab bar. BUT if I open it in Design View, switch to Layout View then switch to Print Preview it opens correctly.

Why would adding a control break a report? What is causing this and how can I fix?

    Thanks.
    Cori

Combo box on report makes no sense to me (a listbox maybe, I have one report that uses listboxes). Why did you switch to combobox? However, should not prevent report opening. I have no idea what causes your issue. Perhaps corruption. Go back to textbox.

I was trying to use a combo box as most of the other fields on the report were combo boxes. They were already set up so didn't want to outright change everything.

That being said I did change the new field back to a text box but it's showing the ID and not the actual value. How do I show the actual data and not the primary key?

    Thanks,
    Cori

The ID is the actual value. You want the text description from the lookup table.

The report RecordSource would be a query that includes both tables.
