    Crosstab Query: Memo Fields

    Hi,

I would like to create a Crosstab Query that is based on a memo field. That is, I have the rows defined as an ID value, the column defined as months, and I want the actual information in the query to be text-based (a memo field, specifically). I can do this for Text fields, I can not, however, do this for memo fields and it is rather annoying. I understand why you can't, since you can not perform a function on a memo field. I didn't know if there was a way around this, though.

Not much you can do with memo fields except 'read' them.
Its not for data work..just a 'free parking' for info.

I just tested crosstab with memo field as Value, used First(). It works. However, quite possibly the text in the memo field gets truncated.

As ranman says, not much can do with memo or even text field in a crosstab.
