Combo Box Search from Multiple Columns

Incredibly new to Access FYI, so I apologize for my possible horrid terminology below.

I've been searching for a long time, and the most I can find is the fact that I may need to rebuild my table. But I want to verify there is no other way to accomplish this.

I have a table that contains all of my shipping information for the day. I have all of my order numbers in one column, with the tracking number for each order in another column. Now, some of my orders have multiple tracking numbers. So I'll have one order number, with two tracking numbers as my orders get split depending on the quantity of items in the order.

On a form I have put together I have a combo box to search by order number, so I can type in a specific order and jump to the correct record. Works great! And then I want to have a combo box to type in a tracking number to jump to the correct record, and this is where my problem lies.

I can make a combo box and assign two columns to it "Tracking1" and "Tracking2", yet if I search for a tracking number in the second column "Tracking2" the combo box is unable to find it. Seems combo boxes only actually search from the first column/a single designated column. I want to be able to type any tracking number in, regardless of column, and go to that record.

I do not want separate search boxes, one for "Tracking1" and one for "Tracking2", as this is a dumbed down example as some orders have up to 4 tracking numbers. I don't want to have to search 4 different boxes to find a certain record.

Any ideas if this is possible at all? I feel like it must be just unable to locate the answer other than creating new tables and linking them through relationships and what not. I'm already overwhelmed but incredibly happy with what I have, I just need this once last piece of the puzzle solved so I can get out of Excel.

If this comboboxes are used to input filter criteria, make sure they are UNBOUND, otherwise you will modify data in record.

You have the tracking numbers in one field as a single text string separated by a comma and space? Like:

    3457, 4329, 6510

What method are you using to 'jump to correct record'? Are you using a dynamic parameterized query as the form RecordSource? Review: http://www.datapigtechnologies.com/f...tomfilter.html
