    Pivot in Access 2007 disabled

    Hi

I am using Access 2007. First time in my system I tried to create Pivot table in access using a table. I selected a table, then selected Create > More forms > Pivot Table.
Once selected a blank form opened and it didn't show Pivot data, either row / column. but shown a blank form which has a figure embedded as Microsoft Office Web components.

Please find attachment which has a screen shot of the above problem.

Im confused why i can't use Pivot in this version.

I would be grateful if you advise me on this.

    Thanks in advance.

It seems to be supported. http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/mso...able-view/1009

There are a large number of threads out there complaining of Pivot field lists missing in Excel 2007, but not in Access.

Try starting in safe mode, if you can, and see whether it resolves. this is for Excel, obviously, but a similar error may be occurring.
Got the same error. PivotTableFields were missing. But when Excel started in save mode (press Ctrl key during startup), the settings appeared.

Solution: Found that the Excel12.xlb (the toolbar items in Addin tab) were loaded twice once from user folder & once again from startup folder. The error was resolved when i deleted the copy in the alternate startup path
