Creating a new empty database generates a file with *.adp extension

Whenhitting the browse button (to select the location for storage) the filename get an *.adp extension. There are no problems when creating a new database from a template. I have been advised to reinstall Access (Windows 7 - Professional). That don't solve the problem.

What language is this version of Access? Access 2010 does not even support creation of ADP's any longer so your issue is real strange.

If that's an option, I would give it a try.
