Can't use data access pages to enter data

Hi All,


I am trying to set up some data access pages as data entry into a table with access 2000. I can see the records in both the data access forms and the HTML forms, but cannot create new records into the table. I have tried to change the property to DataEntry etc... but nothing seems to work. Has anyone come across this and can help?

Have you set 'Data Entry', 'Allow Additions', and 'Allow Edits' to 'YES'? 'Record Locks' to 'No Locks'? Are the individual fields 'E'nabled' = 'Yes" and 'Locked'= 'No'?
In other words, to isolate the problems, make the addition of information totally enabled, then work back with restrictions.

Hi Hertfordkc and thanks for the suggestions. I tried all these but am still getting nowhere. I can create new records no problem with normal forms, but can't seem to get anywhere with data access pages. Even then I can only create the pages under Windows XP, I have Access 2000 v9.0 also running with Vista, and I can't even create data access pages there, it won't let me access any fields in the data base at all. With the base under Windows XP I can add fields to the data pages and view the data, but it just seems to not be able to write into the table using the data access pages. Maybe there is a basic setting I am forgetting somewhere? Very frustrating!
