Saving forms as Data Access Pages

I have a designed and developed a timesheet database using tables/forms. Once that was completed, my boss wants it to be accessible through the office intranet, thus converting it to a data access page. I read that you just right-clicked on the form and clicked "save as" and should offer a drop down box AS: form/report/page. I am using version 2000 and it only offers form or report, no page. Am I missing a step? Is there anyway to save it as a data page without having to redesign and develop the page?

there is no good fix. Data Access Pages has been dropped by MS as of Access2007 - and while you are using a very old version - there is a reason it was dropped - - few used it and it didn't work very well. Also, I believe it was for publishing data that others could view on a a web site - but not for data entry.

one has to question about how much development one should really do around a 2000 version. MS brought out a product for this specific requirement (submitting timesheets) called InfoPath. Back in the 2000 days it was rarely used - but still has legs in what is now part of the Sharepoint product set.

If you email is Outlook; then in Access2007 (and maybe 2003 but you need to double check) - offers a 'data by email' where you create an html page that will store data and then the users can enter data - email it to you - and it will flow into the Access database. I've never yet used this feature however.

If by intranet - you mean the same LAN - then you could simply set up everyone with an FE of the Access db and that would be one solution. But if you mean a web site - then you might have to consider getting a web developer to create an online timesheet for you - - and then figure out a way to move that data into Access. Of course you could upgrade/obtain Sharepoint and take that route too...but it is a big step.
