Here's my issue with Access 2000:
Where I work, a group of guys have Access linked through Autocad to view images (TIF files) through an image control (images are not stored in the database).
Now, I know Access 2000 is very old and outdated, and it's also a nightmare to work with, but until a new solution is put into place, we cannot change from this version, especially since Access 2003+ lacks support for TIF files.
Anyway, onto the issue. At first, only one person was having the issue of loading up the Access database (it goes into a form with the information based on what's in the autocad drawing), it would load fine, except it wouldn't display the image. All mapped drives, installation of software order, configurations, etc., were all the same on 4 other workstations, but he was the only one who had this issue. I've attempted reinstalling Access 2000, ensuring that the proper graphic filters were installed, and made sure that he had full access to the Shared Tools\Graphic Filters registry key as well, but no luck.
Yesterday, one of the other guys who was having issues with his Autocad (a completely separate issue), I reinstalled Autocad and now the same issue is happening to him, while previously he wasn't experiencing this problem of not being able to see images.
Several days of Googling the issue and I can't find anything even remotely close to this problem anywhere.
Upgrading Access or modifying the database is not an option.
What else can I try, or is there anything I'm missing? I don't believe it's a permissions issue as I'm a domain admin and experience the same issue on their PC's as well.
Thanks!
