How do I fix a corrupted MS Access database?

MS Access .mdb & .ldb database corrupted
I am using a A.mdb database. You know when connecting the database Microsoft automatically create a .ldb file. Unfortunately my PC shutdown when connecting the database. As a result after restart the PC I couldn't open the A.mdb file. The message shown A.mdb database is corrupted. A.mdb database was password lock but after corrupted if I give the valid password the database not open and showing the password not valid. Now I couldn't open the database. Now it shown A.mdb file with A.ldb file. Please advise me if PC shutdown with the connected .mdb database then why the database not recover after restart? Also I tried with the option Database Repair and Recovery.

Please advise me and thanks again for your kind co-operation.
    Best Regards

    Try deleting the ldb file.

Try holding down shift key while opening to bypass code.

Do you have a backup copy you can revert to?

Can you copy/paste the mdb to a new file name and then open?

Can you import everything to a new db file?

    Is this a split db?

First, you cannot open an mdb file with Access 2013. Second, security for an mdb file is done with an mdw (I believe that is the extension) file. If the mdw file is missing, your DB will remain locked and you will get a message that you did not enter the correct credentials or the file was not found.

the ldb file is a locking file. If your computer shut down and Access did not have a chance to unlock the ldb file, the ldb file will become orphaned. If this is the case, you will need to remove the ldb file from the directory. I suggest creating a new folder and naming it Archive. Then, move your ldb file into the Archive folder and try opening the mdb file with access 2003 or earlier. I think I remember something about mdw files not being compatible with Access 2010. Your problem may be with using an Access version that is later than 2003 to open an mdb file that depends on user level security.

Access 2013 can link to mdb files. However, Access 2013 cannot open mdb files directly. Also, I do not believe there is a way to use mdw files (User Level Security I believe it is called) with 2013, even if you are linking.
