Well, you did it : O) I have tested it extensively and so far so good. It appears to be doing everything perfectly.
I then created a copy and cleared all data and imported the data from the current DB from work. All good, all working just great : O)
BUT.. Two things ... 1/ Please please tell me how you fixed it. What did it end up being ? What was causing the problem to persist/return ?
and.. 2/ Any ideas how to make it pick up on the "Formatting Settings" that are already set but not being executed/displayed? (as per my previous/last msg)
Is there some way perhaps to force it to re-read the "Properties Settings" for all the "formatting" ? I know if I go in and change it to something else and then change it back it works then.. but that method will require me doing this to each and every setting.. and that doesn't sound very appealing to me.. as it will take a looong time.

I thought I understood what you meant by "Deleting the Filter value on the SubForm" .. but perhaps not.
All I did was double click on the "Pay Wages - Subform" in the LHS column, and on the Form that opened up I right-clicked on the 1st/top Staffperson Field.
In the pop-up menu I then went to de-select the "Clear Filter from Staffperson" option, just as I had previously done on the "Pay Wages -Data Entry Form".
However this time I couldn't, as it was already ghosted/de-selected.
I also discovered that nothing happened when I clicked on it. So I couldn't re-select it even if I wanted to.
So this is what I meant when I said I had already Checked/Cleared/Deleted the "Filter on the SubForm" ! ..Was this right ? Nothing else said "Clear or Delete Filter".
Is there another way I should have done it?
Is there something else that I should do as-well, or instead of?

All the Text Entry Boxes on the "Daily Data Form" were formatted so they looked a little bit 3D or bevelled on the edges rather than being just a flat 4 line box.
This bevelled or more correctly "Sunken" effect is set by Opening the "Daily Data Form", selecting "Design View", and then double-clicking on a Text Box.
This opens the "Property Sheet" for that Box, and under the "Format Tab" there is a "Special Effect" with 6 options. One of the options you can chose is "Sunken".
The problem I have is that ALL of the Text Entry Boxes on the Daily Data Form are no longer displaying this "Sunken" effect when in "Form View", even though this option is in-fact already selected ??
However I discovered that if I changed this "Special Effect" setting to something else (for example: Shadow) and then went back to "Form View" to check it, I found that it worked. I then found that if I went back in and changed this setting BACK TO SUNKEN and then went back to "Form View" it now worked for "Sunken" as well.
On closer investigation I discovered that there is in-fact lots of "Formatting" that is set correctly in the "Property Sheet" but isn't being rendered/displayed that way.
Any ideas ?
I can send you some "before and after" pics if you like. This only happened when I stripped all the Data out of the Original DB to make an Empty/Sample one for you.
I opened the SubForm (Pay Wages - Subform) in design view and went to the Filter property on the Data tab of the Property sheet and it had a value in it. I selected that value and deleted it. Ahh...the Daily Data Form! Go to File>Options>Current Database and Uncheck the "Use Windows-themed Controls on Forms". That will fix that issue.I don't really know how else to explain it? I'll try it this way...

Sorry I probably didn't explain that clearly.. yes the Daily Data Form was the one I was referring to with the Formatting problem .. although, to be fair, this problem was actually affecting many Forms not just the Daily Data one.
Anyway, what you suggested I try, to fix this "Formatting" problem, DID FIX IT ... so again, thank you very much : O)

Regarding the steps you took to fix the primary problem of "Clearing the Filter" ...unfortunately it couldn't be duplicated at this end.
After reading what you did, I also opened the SubForm (Pay Wages - Subform) in Design View (using 3 different versions of the DB, the original, a modified version and the Compacted/Repaired/Emptied version I sent you) and I also went to the Filter property on the Data tab of the "Property sheet" .. however in every case there was "NO VALUE" in the Filter property. So unlike you, I was unable to "select that value and delete it".
So the End Result (on all the versions of the DB I have) is that nothing has changed. Nothing you did can be successfully duplicated. So none of them are "Fixed".
Obviously I was able to populate the FIXED version (the one you sent back to me) with all the Critical Data from the Original DB, thus solving my dilemma.
However it would have been really nice to get to the bottom of the problem and discover what is really causing this ongoing issue with the Original DB version I have.
None the less, you have been a god send when it comes to helping out novice mugs like me. I don't know what I would have done next. You bloody beauty.
