Textbox isn't shrinking, even though the option is ON

I have this report:

The textbox "InvoiceInterval" has "Can Shrink" option set to "YES". There are no other controls in vertical overlap with this text box. Nevertheless, if this control is empty, it does NOT shrink as expected, I get a blank white space instead. Like this:

This functionality works well in my other reports, I just can't get it to work here.

Do you have any ideas? Thanks.

I would expect that you need something in it, for that to take effect?
So try making it almost zero height and let it grow.
However, if you say you have it working elsewhere, then something else is preventing it.

Hmm, good thinking, shrinking it to a zero height object actually helped, because it's growing. But why it's not shrinking, that's beyond me haha.
