    stop access from auto adding records

    Hey guys,



    How do you stop access from atuomatically adding a blank record in a form afte u enter data for a initial recordr

    the issue is 'dirty'. Which refers to a record started - and how it is to be handled if/when the form is closed. You can force it to write/not write with:
    me.dirty=true (or false depending on the need).....

    go ahead and look this up in vb help and it should solve your issue. In 07 I think if one makes a close button in a form it auto adds a me.dirty line in that OnClick event and so that maybe is relevant also to your issue.
