Update data via Internet?

I don't know if this is possible, but is there a way to link tables to the internet in which the fields update with a push of a button?



I remember having an Excel project in college, in which we were able to do this. It was with stock prices off the stock market. However, I don't even remember how to do that.

Anyways, I was wondering if that is possible with Access.

I've seen this done using E-mail replies on Access 2007, but I'm looking more towards pulling data off of websites.

Update: from looking around a bit, I see something called Sharepoint. If anyone could give a quick spill on this, that would be great. (ex. Works well or doesn't work well?)

I'm not quite sure why Sharepoint is so popular, probably because it's microsoft technology, but it does work although other people here can tell you a lot more than I can about it.

If you're looking at using an MS database on the internet, you might want to check out version 2010, which I believe has web forms in it but i don't know how much other internet tech stuff has now been integrated with the release of it.

If it were me, I would look at the mysql database. I currently use this so I'm biased though.
