Create link table to .dbf that contains memo feald

    Hi all!

I'm trying to link to .dbf table and I get "External table is not in the expected format.".
Original .dbf table designer says it's because it contains memo field that contains text.

I can't change/redesign table because its part of application that uses it as it is.
Importing table (to access or excel) works but particular field stays empty. Importing is also unacceptable because I need access to fresh data, all doe I have another purpose for it also.

    Can this be helped?

At this point I'd be grateful if I could link it with memo field empted (like with import),

but it would be great if its data would be accessible to.

    Thanks!

    Please, anyone!

If it's too moronic a question for anyone to answer, or just undoable please do say so.
It's not as if its life or death, but it is getting rather urgent.

…maybe you could recommend some other topic, forum, web, book …
