I have been asked to be the DBA so I come to you for help.

I was recently unemployed after having 15 years in the IT field. Mostly on the hardware and install side for servers.

I am looking to start working as a DBA starting with ACCESS 2010 or 2007 (Above) and would like to know if anyone can recommend a good website with tutorials or cheap e-learning to help a new users understand relational databases etc starting with Access but growing into SQL..

I will be asked to not only maintain the servers but query and manipulate data in the future.

So basically I am asking for the starting line for someone with very limited Access and or SQL knowledge. I know there are many out there but some are not geared twords my role.

    Thanks in advance.

get an Access textbook in the version(s) that you will be managing. read thru them in your available time, and also use them for lookup reference. in addition to online sources....

always always always make a backup before you do anything.

server management is a completely different ball of wax....again a book in the version(s) that you must manage is critical.
