Selecting version for IE with web browser control.

After searching google, I found a topic about how Access uses IE 7 by default and setting it to IE 11 helps web browser controls run smoother. What I can't seem to find is how to change that setting. We recently updated our intranet to SharePoint and our web pages no longer work without IE 10 or above. Anyone know where I can set this to open web pages with IE 11 via a web browser control?

it is not something I have had to do but some research found this link

scroll down to the section headed 'Feature Browser Emulation'

Note it will require changes to the registry and you will need IE v10 or later installed on the users machine.

Other sites say the same thing, it's just this link seems a bit clearer to me as to what you have to do
