Report only displays title bar on launch

Problem:
When I launch a report in MS Access, it only displays the report's title bar (Figure 1). I have to (a) drag the bottom edge of the window down to view the content and then (b) hit the page up or down key to activate the vertical scroll bar.

Steps to reproduce:

• I am using a shortcut to launch the database
• The shortcut has the Run: property set to Minimized (in order to hide the database from the user)
• This issue does not occur when the shortcut's Run: property is set to Normal Window
• The database opens to a default "landing" form which displays correctly
• All reports are launched from the default "landing" form
• This issue does not occur when opening forms

System information:MS Access 2013 x64

Untested as I've never bothered hiding the database, but try adding

DoCmd.Maximize

after the line that opens the report.

sounds like youre minimizing the report.
try running with reports maximized.
