When is a short text field not a short text field?

Hi all,



Weird issue i hope someone can help me with. I have a form which has a combobox linked to a table.

The table data is in the correct format (Short Text) and on the table is shows text. But when I select the combobox it puts the Line ID there instead.

I have worked back through all the tables, and forms and there is no reference to this field as a number, always Short text)

never come accross this before, only thing i can think of is that i did copy and paste a few lines of data but I cannot see how that would make a difference?

Any ideas or suggestions would be most welcome!

if you have the combo box is bound to the 1st column, then your 1st column is ID and thats what get put there. (the HIDE column wont display it)
if you want a text field selected and put in the field, then remove the hidden field (ID) from the query, so what the user sees, is what get put in the final field.

On another note: You should eliminate the spaces and special characters in your field names. You'll thank yourself later.
