My company is switching from MS Office to Google Docs. My understanding is that the latter will not be compatible with the Access database I have spent years producing. Anyone heard differently?

nope - access is an office product, there is not a google equivalent so far as I am aware. However you can get access runtime to run your app tho' you will need to keep a full time version for maintenance purposes.
The question will be how much your app integrates with excel/word/outlook/etc. Changes will be required there - and due to the online nature of google docs, those changes may not be workable.
If your app is business critical, recommend you get your bosses to make sure they cost in the cost of developing a new app.
Hmm, are they keeping Office? Because if so, Office will open Google Docs at which point you could make a modification and re-upload. I would Google > ms access and google docs, I got a lot of hits with some possible solution.
