    lookup field source and target?

    Hello Everyone
I have two tables . one is called customers and the other is called
stores. I would like to use the two tables interactively
    how is this done?
must the two .accdb files be in the same folder?
how do I get the customer.accdb to show in the navigation window
when I open stores .accdb ?
when I add data to the "customer" field in stores.accdb I want the customer
field to be a lookup field looking up the customer name inn the customer.accdb

    many thanks
    fred

No idea why you'd have the notion that individual tables need to be in separate databases. I think I should make a few more reading recommendations besides the ones I made in your other post.
Normalization is paramount. Diagramming maybe not so much for some people.

hello micron- thanks again for the interestng input.
I read with interest the article on normalization- but regrettable working with
an existng .dbf file ( vintage about 1985 ) the normalization project will
have to be put on the back burner for a while. so in the meantime i just have
to hack something so that i can move forward with getting a stores program
that will suffice in the shortturn.
the customer file is the main table and is only one table with many fields- this
makes for simple coding for what i want.
I need to ponder the options for a few days before i can go forward.
in the meantime i will read and be quided by the literature you suggest.
    many thanks and best regards
    fred
