    Access to the database

    Hey,

I have a problem with accessing the database. I have several domain administrators and a few local administrators. Everyone has access to a shared hard disk on the server. The Access database is divided on the server. Everyone has access to the database, it can modify, change values, etc. The problem appeared when I created a new local user, I still have database permissions. He is an administrator, but after launching a shortcut to the database he gets a message that the database is already open by another user or I do not have adequate access to read the database. I have checked and contributed several times to the rights granted and are the same as other users. What may be the problem?

Does the user have their own copy of the front end?
    Users cannot share frontend apps.

also, sometimes when user exits the db, it leaves the lock file, .lccdb.
if they are out of the FE, then manually delete the FE lock file, .lccdb and it will vanish.
if it does not delete, then something still has it open.

Every user gets their own copy of the FE.
just copy one FE and email it , or paste it in the owners folder.

have copied the front from another user
from where? to where? and where is the back end placed? And when you linked, did you use mapped drive paths? or UNC paths?

From another computer, from another user. I copied only the shortcut. I connect to mapped disk paths.

you need to copy the FE file the short cut is pointing to, not the shortcut. All users should have a copy of the front end on their local drive

with regards mapping, you need to ensure all users have the same drive letter mapped on their computer - it is better to use UNC paths
