Linking dbase with website

Hie guys .It is my firsttime to create a database that can be used.I am creating a dbase for my local church.They would want it to run on the internet with the website.How can i go about it.What should i take note of in the development of this dbase.I am using access 2007.

Access is not web enabled. In a Microsoft environment where data is in Access, one would use the Sharepoint product to establish web forms. Sharepoint is a pretty big endeavor primarily structured for corporate environments. There is at least one commercial sharepoint hosting service to avoid hosting it yourself that may be of interest: www AccessHosting com

Anything web enabled involves web servers, hosting, DNS, web application and probably firewalls. The data residing in tables in the database are a back end function. There are a ton of offerings/approaches. With pros/cons and a wide range in costs. One particularly good low cost online database service is no longer in business. If there is a local company offering hosting - they may offer you a reasonable solution if they have inhouse web designers.

Finally I know only one commercial solution that makes an Access application web enabled outside of the sharepoint approach: www eqldata com

thanks so much for your contribution.do you have knowledge about this fact if the web hosters have SQL then we can link a dbase with SQL so it can be accessible on the net.Because the website is already running.
