Angry Form Auto Launching Excel Workbooks? Very Weird!

My split database is doing something very weird!

It happens else ware in the database but take the report I'm working on now.

If I run the report and then close it to go back to design view, the database automatically opens two different excel workbooks.

There isn't any code behind the report. Nothing.

I can also get it to launch the two excel files when I click "Add Existing Fields."

The excel files are linked to the front-end but what is opening them?

No relationships to them if that's even possible with a linked excel table. Also, there are other linked excel files that don't open.

I'm not sure what other info I can provide. For some reason, when I switch from Print Preview to Design Mode on the Report the two Excel files automatically open. When I'm in design mode and click "Add Existing Fields" the two Excel files auto open.

Anyone who can figure this one out - kudo's to you!

there has to be code or an embedded macro somewhere that opens the files. What happens when you close the report and don't re-open it in any other view? Is it supposed to open those files? You could Ctrl+F and select entire project and try searching on one of those file names to find it in code. I don't think this search will work on embedded macros.
