Populating emails with database info

I am quite new to all this and not sure whether the following can be done, but if it can I would appreciate finding out how to work it.

I want to store an access database at an online sharepoint (with web address)

I want to be able to use that database (and specific columns/fields within it) to populate the 'To' and 'Cc' fields of my outlook emails I will be sending.

So basically the databases will be serving as remotely stored distribution lists.

I'm almost sure this can be done, but technically I've no idea how. The people on this forum seem pretty smart, and so I'm hoping someone has the answer...

I might be mistaken, but I think there is a time delay on searches that are created in the DB whereby they are deleted out after a certain timeframe.

learn how to search google david. their indexing capabilities are the best that's out there. I have never used sharepoint so I don't know if my advice would be helpful. I know how to integrate office programs with code but sharepoint might call for other things I don't know how to do.

to get started though with integration, the best thing to do in order to learn how is to open up the program that will actually be performing the request (in this case OUTLOOK) and use the intellisense dropdown to figure out what the exact script is before creating the process from another office program.

I once created a 'Data Form' in outlook which updated nicely with the MSAccess db. I don't think a lot of developers use sharepoint. I personally use SQL Server for all my backends and just write/call vb/php scripts to update data in the tables as needed.

Maybe I should have made it abundantly clear that I've trawled google already and found nothing that fits my requirements (as I did with this forums own search function).

As I mentioned, I don't think there's a lot of developers using sharepoint yet.
