Acxcess 2010 stopped working afer Windows 10 reinstall

    Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen,

I'm a musician who has for about 25 years kept my income / expenses on a database, Originally dBase III, eventually migrating to Access.

I have been running Access 2010 with no problems until last month.

First the last three months of income and expenses disaappeared from the income and expenses tables. I assumed that I had somehow! managed to delete them despite never having managed this before,

I've now had to reinstall Windows 10 after it refused to recognise my profile.

Reinstalling Windows has required reinstalling Office Professional. The access databases are kept on 2 separate external hard drives in case of exactly this kind of problem

Today I've tried to use the database and run into another problem. Using File and open the database opens without any errfor messages but does not allow me to open any forms or tables.

I've used Excel then the tables will open so I know the drives and the files are ok.

I haven't had to make any changes to the database for about the past 5 years have I missed something?

see if macros are still enabled.

    also, enter VBE (alt-F11)
    menu: tools, references
see if any of the checked items says: MISSING.
    if so, uncheck it.

If you reinstalled windows and Office, you will probably need to redefine trusted locations for Access.

    Thanks for your help.

    I've checked the VBA

There are only the top four items checked. None of them show missing.
I haven't yet found out where Macros are enabled / disabled.

Following other suggestions I have added the database folder on the external drive to trusted locations. Matters seem to be improving.
