    Form Entry of a Formula

I have always used massive excel workbook databases and decided to learn how to use access now. I see some of the advantages, but there is one particular disadvantage that I cannot find the answer to because searching only provides answers to an unrelated question.

When entering information in a form and I get to the currency field, in excel I could type =100*5+20*4+1*9+.25*7 and it would add up the entries on the spot, but this does not seem possible in access. Do I need to use excel to add up the numbers ahead of time or is there a way to do inline calculations in a form?

Access is used for a wide range of complex calulations.
Although it can be done on a form, you would normally do that sort of calculation using a query or equivalent VBA code

I have some money in front of me. I want to enter the total without having to add it up myself. In excel I can type 100+10+5. Is there anything like that in access? I suppose I could do something with an OnChange event, but is there a simple input that can take a formula and change to the result?
