    Hyperlink warning message question

I have created a table and a form that allows the user to open documents via a hyperlink. Whenever I open a link I get a Microsoft Access Warning advising me of a potential security concern followed by a second warning from Microsoft Office advising me again that there is a potential security concern. I have placed a "DoCmd.SetWarnings False" in the Onload event for the form but I still get the warnings. Does anyone have some advise as to how I can turn these warnings off. The program will be used in a limited setting and I am not concerned about virus or security issues related to the documents that will open, I'm jus trying to make life easier for the end users, minimal keystrokes and all that.

As always, you people are amazing for taking the time to assist newbies like me. Thanks for all the help.

I just tested FollowHyperlink method and don't get the warning. This is on my personal laptop, not accessing a network server.

Are the documents saved in a trusted location?

I remembered AB web site has a function and gives reasons why the method sometimes doesn't work so I looked it up. Sometimes, it's just file path characters. <br>It's here: http://allenbrowne.com/func-GoHyperlink.html

I'll check it out, thanks Micron. I'll also check with the IT people.

I think I'll try to stay with the hyperlink as I am much more familiar with it.

    Thanks for the info.

I had issue with FollowHyperlink not opening pdf files. Switched to Shell code and that worked.

Yes, they are in a trusted location.
Just verifying, did you go through the Access screens to select the directory to "trust"? Just making sure its not like they are on our server so it is trusted already thought, etc.
