e- mail field not populating

I have my db up and running , one of our team edited an email address, and save the edit, now the email field wont populate, my clients emails are all in tack in my table. I must be either missing something or doing something wrong. Its a couple of years since I set this up and have not had any reason to re visit. so I may have simply forgotten a fundamental any advice would be most welcome

best advice is to provide some example data and the code you are using. Then perhaps we can suggest something

thanks for the reply but I think I may have found the problem , I simply deleted the field and re created it and it seems to be working. If I have any further problem I know where to come for great advice thank for bothering to reply
