Subdatasheet Data Entry

I just discovered that I can make sub-datasheets from froms in datasheet view!



I've read that using sub-datasheets on tables is something of a no-no. (I realize that for obvious reasons data entry directly in the table is bad, let alone in table sub-datasheets)

But what about using data entry into datasheet forms and sub-datasheet forms based on queries?

I found this opinion over at stackoverflow but it seems the worry is just from mistakes from the end user? Or is it a bug inducing practice?

If there is no software penalty to using sub-datasheet forms, this could be a game changer for my interface.

Never used this arrangement. Just never really liked the appearance.

I just put some vba on a sub-datasheet's textbox on the on-click event. Msgbox "hello world!" worked just fine! Are you referring to something else?

Yeah, already corrected my post. I was thinking of the subform container just referencing table or query object instead of a form. That maybe the goal was to avoid having to build a form object.
