    RUn Error 2580

I am having problems with microsoft access. I have a database with student and schools records. When I open the database it asks for the Administrator password but from been working good it just stopped working and now it skips asking for a password and goes directly to the records but when I try to open them it says that there is a run error 2580 and it says the following:

"The record source "fverification Subform specified on this form or report does not exist"

Is there someone that can help with this?

    Thanks

    Patty

It sounds like the form you are opening is looking for the Administrator password, probably supplied by the subform "verification subform". Without actually seeing the db, I can only guess that's what it's looking for. You can check if that subform should open when you open the db, by going into Access Options, current database then see if there's anything in Display Form. That will tell you if that form should be opening from the beginning. HTH.

Another possibility is there is some corruption....

MAKE a COPY of the dB. I say again -> MAKE a COPY of the dB.

    Then, using the copy:
Holding the shift key down, then open the dB.
    Look for the form "fverification"
Try to open it on design view. Can you open it?

In the menu, hold the shift key down, then click on DATABASE TOOLS > Compact and Repair.
Close the dB, then open it. What happens??
