Novice - need Help with 2007 Preview Report button on Form

I placed a Preview Report button on my forms and it works sort of ...
the first time you click it it shows a blank report so i close that report window and click the button on the form again and it will show the record that i wanted then i will close that report page
then i choose a different number record then click on the preview report button again and it shows the last one i looked at ... so again i close that report ... click the button and it will show the one i want

don't understand why it is taking two clicks of the button to get the proper report to show up.

OH FYI i am fairly novice at Access (last time i had a grasp on Access was college in 1997 using Office 95 and never used it since i left college so have forgotten everything and everything has probably changed in those 10 yrs anyways if i did remember lol )

Oh would like to also add it doesn't just do it on this Form it does it on my SewingPatternFRM form also
