    Random locked database issue

Hello, I just joined this forum (so I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section). I work for customers using an Access Runtime 2007 front end, SQL back end programs. One of my customers is having issues with what appears to be a randomly locking accdr file, which is causing interruptions with their work flow. I am curious if anyone has any ideas about what might be causing the file to randomly lock and become read only.

Folder that the file is located in has permissions set to allow users to access it with full permissions. They are not running an anti-virus or any sort of backup software that might be interfering. All Windows updates pertaining to Office 2007 suite have been downloaded and installed, PC restarted.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Also is there any method to the locking? Specific to a user or happening to various users? Specific PC or any PC. Specific time of Day or any time? etc.

@RanMan256 The client for the software is the Access portion. It uses a temp database to store data before shipping it to SQL, so each workstation has it's own temp database.

@Bulzie Their is no pattern according to the client. It happens at random on various different workstations, and I cannot find any other software that might be causing it.

What he is asking is does each customer have the Front End Access database on their PC or do they all connect to the same FE Database on the network?

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
