Smile How to make several tables appear as one table to a third party application i.e. an "All" table

    Hi,

I'm very inexperienced with Access so please forgive the noddy description.

    Problem:

I'm using Access as a parts database for an electronic design package (Altium).
Each Electronic component type has a separate table e.g. Resistors, Capacitors, Transistors etc. (The Table structure is very simple).

They have many common properties (columns) such as Manuafcturer, Company ID, Voltage, Power rating etc.

This works fine in Altium, but is there any way to allow my CAD tool to see an additional table which lists All parts?

I'm sure I've seen this done, but I can't find anything online.

I tried creating a query to join the tables (Using SQL SELECT/UNION) That works but (a) it's not dynamic and (b) doesn't appear as a table to Altium.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    hostaman

I recently had the same issue, ended up putting all my data in one table.
