    Mail Merge from Access

I am not sure if this is the right place for this question but...

I am wondering if anyone knows how to get a calculated field to show up in Access. Currently, I have made a form letter in Microsoft Word, and when I do a mail merge for a field in Access that is a calculated field, it shows up blank where the field is supposed to go on my Word document. Is there any way around this?

    Thanks

probably not to use a calculated field but use a query and do your calculation there, then mailmerge on the query

OK that sounds good, sorry one more question though -- I need about 30 fields to do my query, and the query seems to only be letting me add about 16 fields. Is there a maximum number of fields I can have in a query?

maximum number of fields is 255, but the query build only provides so many columns initially. If you drag the fields required from the table it will insert new columns - or if you want all the table fields, enter * in one column and then your calculated values in the others.
