Record Number in Table and Form No Longer Match

Hi there,

I am hoping someone can help me. I am a novice in using Access and have a relatively simple database where I store information relating to students on placement with the organisation I work for.

I am having a sudden issue whereby the record number (it uses the ID number) on the table does not match with the record number on the form. For example on the table I have Student Jane Doe first, but on the form I have Student Jack Smith.

I haven't set up or changed anything new with the database, which has been in use for over a year.

Can anybody help guide me in the right direction of how to fix it?

Not sure why it should be a problem. If the form is not bound to a query which is sorted on one or more columns but bound to an unsorted table then the records will not necessarily be in the same order when the form is diplayed as they are when viewing the table.

If you open your form in Design mode, and look at form Properties, what is the record source of the Form?

Ah thank you! That's where the error was, somehow the record source was getting the records from all over the place! Fixed it now
