Report Shows Flags on all pages

    Hi all

I have a report that is used for auditing, in the data set that runs it each customer has a flag set to show the initial purchase, now the customer many be entered from between 1 to any amount of times but there is only one record that has a flag set. (Y) my problem is as follows:

If I run the query that wroks the report all is fine, all records sort as they should and there is one record with a flag, however in the report, which again runs fine, the flag shows on every record for each customer when it should only appear on the first one for each customer report. im stumped can anyone help

What kind of auditing? Financial audit? Great, I happen to be an accountant myself. You probably have one of the following problems:

    1. Cross-joins caused by absence of table relationships.
    2. Lack of report sections (report section for a customer.
    3. The "flag" field is placed somewhere else. What does the "initial purchase" look like? Does it simply account for financial grand totals of the sales invoice? Or, are inventory line items listed on the invoice?

Question, what does the "flag" stand for? To point you to customers who make their purchases for the first time during a particular accounting period? Or to point you to the very first sales invoices? Note that there is difference between these two.

Hi, no not really fiscal it's more to do with product groups and actual purchases against simple interest calls etc, however I read through your suggestions and having cheked all of the joins etc I simple moved the field to a different section and it works fine...!!! never aoccured to me to try that one, IN relation to the flags purpose its simple a pointer to how many customers went on to make actual purchases from cold calls or adverts, nothing sophisticated I'm afraid..

Many thanks for your help though
