field format change date to text

Hi



have a field names DateOfBaptism which is designated date/Time and has the format dd/mm and mask of "dd/mm"

I would like to change this to short text but when I do it adds 2015 to the end

ie 03/03 to 03/03/2015

Why 2015 I do not understand

I suppose I could create a query to delete /2015?

But I'm sure there is a n easier way

Hmm...under File>Options>Client Settings>General... there is a reference to four-digit year formatting. How is yours set?
