MS Access 2007 - Disable date picker in queries

Is there a way to disable the date picker in a query date field? I assumed that queries inherit the table's properties, but it doesn't seem to be the case. The date field date pickers in the tables are all disabled but the queries' date pickers are still displayed. Even created new queries to make sure that they were designed after the date pickers were disabled, but sadly this didn't help

Can I ask why you care? The best accepted practice is to provide your data in forms (or reports, which for your situation are not interactive anyway). If you're doing that, you turn it off in the form. Otherwise, AFAIK, the answer is you cannot, at least not in your version and not for a Select query. If pass through or data definition queries behave any differently, I'd like to know.

I care only because it covers the data which I need to see. The source tables are full of data. I do not add data in queries. If it can't be done, IMHO this is an ommission by the software developers. Oh well, I will have to create forms, which in this case is a waste of time. In any case, thanks for taking the trouble to reply.
