    Edit Padding

Instead of using Control Padding, are there any methods to modify or edit the spacing or padding between fields in report design?

I'm sorry but I'm not sure what you are looking for. Maybe if you described it in different words. There may be another way to achieve what you want without using "control padding".

Thanks all, I understand using control padding to archive my request. But can I adjust the "spacing" or "padding" by setting manually?

are you talking about being able to move controls around the report and possibly resize as well? If so in design view, under the arrange tab, click on remove layout. Then you can do what you want with the controls.

If you are talking about modifying the 'default' spacing setting, I don't believe that is possible. All you can do is modify the print margins.

If the controls are part of a stack or tabular group, there are only a few options for adjusting the padding by using control padding selector on the Arrange tab of the ribbon. If those don't suit you, you can move a group or stack in layout view or design view. If they are not part of a stack/group, you have to move/size them individually or as groups that you have selected. Other than that, I don't think we know what you mean by 'modify or edit the spacing or padding in report design'. If you want to modify the default settings provided by the ribbon tool, I've not seen anything in db options that provides that ability.
