Found some stuff w/Powerpoint and Excel but not really w/Access
Just so you are aware if you are considering upgrading anytime soon - pivot charts are no longer available from 2013.
That sure sounds like a counter productive move by Microsoft ????
I know Microsoft must have a "bundled" methodology and mindset, and a bottom line profit motive to fully seamlessly integrate and force the purchasing of these 2 products within their latest Office version (paid for monthly if I understand correctly?) , but just saying ....
Can anyone honestly say that Microsoft has truly come up with significant options in all of their updated versions - which you cannot effectively do in Access 2002 with a minor bit of effort? And, find it justified for all the related costs??
well some issues - 2002 cannot link to .xlsx or .docx files or later sql servers, not sure but probably not later versions of outlook either. may not matter to you but matters to me - all my clients have been using office 2007 /sql server 2008 or later for some years.
ACE is a better db engine than JET, encryption before 2007 is c**p. Easier to create runtime versions.
Not sure what you mean by related costs, I don't consider access to be expensive - although I don't like the subscription basis for 365, at the moment you can still buy office as a one time purchase. Unfortunately that is the way everything is going, recent news is that even the OS will be a rental model - coming very soon for corporate licenses, consumer pricing probably not far behind.
