Access db, save as 2003 to 2007

I need to do a 'save as' for an Access 2003 database to 2007. This is a standalone db application. When I do the 'save as' I get the message "You attempted to open a database that is already open exclusively by user "Admin' on machine "xxx". Try again when the database is available.'

    Steps I took:
    I opened the 2003 .mdb
    clicked on the icon
selected 'save as' & selected "2007 database"
    get error message above

(I've tried opening a 2007 blank database and importing everything in from the 2003 database, but several forms called in visual basic are not coming over and I can't locate them in the 2003 database.)

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    laavista,

You can convert databases by going to Tools >> Database Utilities >> Convert Database >>.

I got the same message as before when I selected "convert".

I did find out how to unhide the forms and I exported them into a new 2007 database.

I wish I knew, though, what caused the save as to fail (and the convert).

Thanks for taking the time to respond!
