Is it possible to use a radio button as an alternative for a combo box?

I have a combo box with three items: Apple, Ball, Cat. A user can select one of the three.

Can I have three radio buttons for these three items, so that the user can select one of them?



I feel that this would have a better visual appeal than a combo box or list box.

Yes, that is easily done, provided the list of choices rarely if ever changes, since the list of radio button values is usually built right into the form design. If the list of options changes frequently, or is dependant on some other data, you should stick with the combo box.

You were right!


I found that I can use the 'option group' to employ radio buttons.

However, as you had said, there were some disadvantages:
1) I could not edit the options once I had created the radio buttons using the 'options group wizard'.
2) The assigned values for the labels are always numbers.
3) I cannot get the values from another table.

None of these problems occur if I use a combo box.

EDIT:
I found that I can edit the values assigned to the radio boxes under the 'data' tab of the property sheet.
The labels could be edited in the design view of the form.
I could even add another radio button into the frame of the previous set of radio buttons and it got automatically linked to the field to which I had earlier linked the previous radio buttons.
