    Access 2010 Pivot Tables

I'm attempting to create pivot tables based on a query and experience a number of problems, such as not all of the fields appearing in the Pivot Table Field List. In searching the internet I see some opinions that it did not work so well and you are better off exporting data to and setting up pivot tables in Excel (which I've done). There is even speculation that's why pivot tables were dropped in Access 2013. Some problem solutions seem to require re-installing Access or Office.

I would appreciate any guidance and alternatives.

    Thanks

I would avoid using pivot tables in access, as you noted, they are removed from Access 2013 and not likely to be re-introduced so your database would become useless to some of your users (or you) if you update your version of Office.
