Combing Records

I have developing a stock ordering system.



I have encountered an issue.




In this test senrio, Both 'Lewis' & 'Will' have ordered 'Wash Pumps' and the same has happened to the drains pumps. However, i need to combine these two records together so it shows a total quantity, (Wash Pump - quantity 15)

I can see the Orderer field being an issue unless its possiable to list them

Please advise how this is possibale.

Please show us the tables and relationships involved (jpg of relationships window).

Here is a great youtube video on Stock Control application. It may not reflect your situation, but it will give you a good over view of what is involved. It's about 26 minutes long. Well worth watching if you are starting a similar application.

I think you would also get a good review of concepts of database and table design by working through this tutorial from RogersAccess Library You have to work through it (30-45 minutes), but you will learn.
