    2-digit numbers turning to "##"

I posted about this before, but I am starting a new thread complete with a new theory:

As I have updated my FE to better suit the users' preferences, one problem that randomly appeared is that on my Special Event Report Sheet_page1, in a column that counts the number of employees assigned to the shift converts to "##" once the number goes past 9.

Initially, I thought that I just had to widen the column to make it work right, but I found something interesting: When I go back to an older version that doesn't have the problem, and copy the report and paste it into the newer version, the problem magically appears again. So could it be a problem with the queary that creates the report?

Why might it be fine in version 1, but when the report is copied and pasted into version 3, it's wrong again?

    Thanks

Where is the number of employees per shift defined?
Is is somehow restricted to 1 digit?
Could be a problem with query or some other form of corruption????

Other thoughts: make sure the number returned is an integer, not 10.00001 or something. Note that the report is rendered using the default printer. I've had instances where a report looked fine to me but some users saw the ##, and they had a different default printer. I had to widen the textbox farther than I would otherwise have had to for it to work for them.
