Cannot open database". It may not be a database that your application recognizes, or the file may be

I get the below message in access all the time and do not know what causes it. I can run a Create Table Query several times(replacing the previous table of the same name) without issue then all of the sudden i get the message. and the only way i can get around it is to copy everything into a new database and start over. Any ideas?

The first thing I would do is copy the Access file by right click, "Save As". Then paste two copies in a safe place. Make two backups of the file causing the issue. Then I would create a new Access file and try to import the tables from one of the copies to the new Access file.
